Tracy Smith

Tracy has been in the landscape and irrigation industry for over 15 years. Working for 11 years handling all of the landscape and irrigation maintenance and much of the general interior and exterior maintenance as a Regional Manager for multi-family housing is where Tracy began his career in landscaping and irrigation. From there Tracy worked for 4 years as the Manager at the second largest landscape management company in Austin. After moving from Austin, Tracy started work for Petty’s in September of 2005.
Tracy is a state licensed irrigator, LI0015505, and has received his CAMT Certification from the State of Texas. He is also a Palestine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Chair Holder.
Petty’s is proud to have Tracy as he brings his ideas and knowledge to our company.

John Sutton
Irrigation/Landscape Designer

John began his career in irrigation in 1982 with At Your Touch Irrigation, located in Dallas, where he became a sales representative after his first year. There he worked with builders such as George Richardson with Ryland Homes who for many years was the largest builder in the United States.
John worked with George and learned landscaping and design and finally started a landscape division with At Your Touch Irrigation. John continued to work with builders in the Dallas area for the next 4 years.
After moving to Tennessee, John worked with Clayton Homes for seven years until starting All Season Builders. John landscaped the homes that were sold for the next 3 years until finally moving to the Longview area. John joined the Petty’s team in February of 2007.

Perry Randall
Landscape Designer / Sales

Perry moved to Tyler from Dallas in February 2009, bringing with him a background in studio art and drafting. In developing a landscape design, whether for new constrction or established gardens, Perry incorporates the architectural style of the residence with the clients' personal tastes and the intended use of the space.
Perry holds a Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University and attended graduate school at UT Austin.
Petty's is pleased to have Perry, as he has over 12 years experience in horticulture and design, and he understands that each project is unique and requires a personal approach.

Nancy Frazier
Landscape Designer / Sales

Nancy was born and grew up in Tyler. She later moved to Atlanta, GA, where she attended Gwinnett Tecnical College. There she majored in Environmental Horticulture and did her internship in landscape design and greenhouse management.
She has worked in the horticulture industry for 13 years and has done landscape designs for the past 6 years. Her experience includes plant identification, propagation, site analysis, design and installation.
Nancy went to work for Pettys, after she moved back to Tyler in March 2009. She is an asset to Petty's, as she enjoys helping people to solve their landscaping needs.

Heather Cooper
Lawn & Shrub Fertilization Department Manager

Heather joined the Petty's team in January 2009. She is in charge of coordinating and overseeing all aspects of Lawn & Shrub Fertilization, as well as Lawn & Shrub Pest Control. Heather is licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Heather has knowledge of all irrigation systems and helps customers to resolve their irrigation service requests.

Casey interacts with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about Petty's services.
Casey will be happy to assist you and will respond promptly. As she obtains and evaluates your relevant information, she will handle your request or direct it to the designated resource.

Sam Blankenship
Retail Nursery Manager
|
|
Sam Blankenship has many dedicated years of experience in horticulture. She manages the care of nursery trees, shrubs, and blooming plants, and also trains nursery staff. Sam is always ready to assist customers with research questions, problem resoution, and special orders.
Her knowledge of chemical and organic herbicides, insecticides and fertilizers is a great source of information for the backyard gardener or landscape professional. Sam also offers a wealth of information on plants adapted to the East Texas climate and continues to research new garden trends regularly.
In addition to her work at Petty's, Sam also is an active community volunteer, sharing her expertise in various locations, such as the Tyler Rose Garden.

Maintainence / Customer Service Represenative

April is one of our experienced customer service represenatives that brings a vast knowledge of plants and nursery products to our Petty's team.
She also performs maintainence at the Nursery and Landscaping Design Studio. As well as, helping customers attain their gardening & landscaping goals.
